Tear apart the cocoon of silence,
vocalize your truth,
blossom bright and free,
allow your eloquence to inspire.

Artist Note: I chose the common monarch butterfly wings for the woman flying towards a safe environment, to emphasize the fact that a woman does not need to be something “extraordinary” to speak up, to break free, to access the decent life she deserves. Every “plain” woman is a unique, extraordinary human being that has the right to be treated with respect.
